Jackson Lewis P.C. seeks an experienced Employee Benefits attorney to join our Houston, TX office. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of Employee Benefits experience and familiarity with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code.

Responsibilities include handling health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and advising clients on regulatory developments. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• D from an ABA accredited law school
• 4+ years of Employee Benefits experience
• Excellent analytic, writing, and verbal skills
• Demonstrated ability to independently produce quality work product
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational and matter management skills
• Ability to work on a collaborative team
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Strong commitment to continued client development activity

Responsibilities

• Experience with health and welfare plans, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, wellness programs, COBRA, deferred compensation, and executive compensation preferred
• Commitment to staying current on legislative and regulatory actions in a rapidly changing area
• Work individually and as part of a team
• Attention to client service, responsiveness and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
