Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Raleigh, NC seeks an Analyst to perform financial analytics for predominantly fully insured benefit programs. You will prepare standard analyses, model renewal scenarios, and analyze claims utilization for clients with 100–250 lives.

You will develop strategies, coordinate with carriers for quotes, and support client communications with executive summaries. This role emphasizes data-driven insights and timely collaboration in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ experience in employee benefits or related field.
• High School Graduate. College degree preferred.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a state Life & Disability insurance license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
• Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Analyze information and create financial deliverables for clients with less complex benefit programs.
• Prepare standard analyses with minimal customization (market review, renewal projections, claims analysis).
• Develop alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost reduction opportunities.
• Serve as primary contact with carriers for marketing coverage and quotes; evaluate options and negotiate rates.
• Develop and maintain carrier relationships and analyze claims experience data.
