Job summary

USI Insurance Services seeks an Employee Benefits Analyst IV to independently analyze information and create financial deliverables for large self-funded clients. The role focuses on analytics, modeling, and strategic recommendations to support renewal decisions.

You'll interact with carriers, prepare executive summaries, and collaborate with the team to drive client outcomes. A License in Life & Disability is required or pursued, with strong Excel/Word skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in employee benefits brokerage required.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a state Life & Disability insurance license.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Financial analytics for self-funded client programs (1,000+ lives).
• Prepare analyses including market reviews, funding projections, and claims utilization.
• Develop alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost reduction opportunities with custom illustrations.
• Serve as primary contact with carriers; negotiate and market coverage for quotes and renewals.
• Write client-facing Executive Summaries with observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Mentor analysts and provide team training and development.
