Job summary

Qualifications

• 5 years + experience in employee benefits or related field.
• High School Graduate. College degree preferred.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a state Life & Disability insurance license.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
• Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for independently analyzing information and creating financial deliverables for large clients with complex self-funded benefit programs.
• Perform financial analytics for self-funded clients, typically with 1,000+ lives.
• Prepare analyses with customization: market reviews, funding projections, utilization analysis, and benchmarking.
• Develop and present custom illustrations and executive summaries for clients.
• Negotiate and market coverage with carriers; request quotes and evaluate options.
• Maintain carrier relationships and validate renewal rating illustrations.
• Provide guidance to analysts and mentor team members.
• Write client-facing executive summaries with observations and recommendations.
• Collaborate with service teams and sales to align deliverables with client strategy.
