Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Missouri is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Senior Account Manager to oversee complex client accounts, lead renewals, and provide consultative guidance on benefit design, compliance, and carrier negotiations. You will act as the main day-to-day contact for clients and coordinate cross-functional resources to meet client needs.

The role emphasizes strategic advisory, renewal presentations, and ongoing client education on ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and reporting

Qualifications

• 4+ years of employee benefits experience within an insurance brokerage environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Life and Disability insurance license or ability to obtain within 4 months.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet-based applications.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex book of business with multiple funding arrangements.
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients and carriers, providing proactive support.
• Lead client renewals, including analysis of utilization results and negotiations with carriers.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise in employee benefits to the Account Management team.
• Educate and advise clients on ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Form 5500, and Health Care Reform.
• Lead on-site client meetings to present renewal outcomes and recommendations.
• Coordinate and engage technical resources for complex client needs.
• Develop employee communications for renewals and changes; oversee issue resolution.
• Participate in peer review of standard deliverables for quality and consistency.
• Develop and deliver training content for the Account Management team; stay current on trends.
