Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Wheeling, WV, seeks an EB Senior Account Manager to manage complex employee benefits accounts and serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients. You will provide consultative guidance and oversee service delivery to ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include leading renewals, analyzing utilization, negotiating with carriers, and educating clients on compliance issues such as ERISA, COBRA, and Form 5500.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in employee benefits or a related marketplace.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of employee benefit plan design, funding arrangements, and compliance requirements.
• Active Life and Disability insurance license or ability to obtain within 4 months of employment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet-based applications.
• Ability to review complex information and develop client-focused solutions.
• Ability to balance multiple demands and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to self-review work for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex book of business with multiple funding arrangements and high customization.
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients and carriers, providing proactive support.
• Lead client renewals, analyze utilization, and negotiate with carriers for clients.
• Provide SME guidance in employee benefits and support Account Management team.
• Educate and advise clients on compliance matters (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Form 5500, Health Care Reform).
• Lead and attend client meetings, including on-site, to present renewals and plan recommendations.
• Coordinate and engage technical resources to support complex client needs.
• Develop employee communications for renewals and benefit changes; oversee issue resolution.
• Participate in peer review of standard client deliverables to ensure quality.
• Develop and deliver training content for the Account Management team; track industry trends.
