Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Pittsburgh is seeking an EB Senior Account Manager to oversee complex employee benefits accounts, serving as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients and guiding service delivery.

You will lead renewals, analyze utilization, coordinate with carriers, and mentor the Account Management team while staying current on ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Form 5500 reporting, and Health Care Reform.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in employee benefits or related marketplace.
• Active Life and Disability insurance license or ability to obtain within 4 months.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet-based applications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to balance multiple demands and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-review and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex book of business with multiple funding arrangements and high customization.
• Serve as primary liaison between clients and carriers, providing proactive support.
• Lead client renewals, including utilization analysis and carrier negotiations.
• Provide subject-matter expertise in employee benefits and mentor Account Management team.
• Educate clients on ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Form 5500 reporting, and Health Care Reform.
• Lead and participate in client meetings, including on-site engagements.
• Coordinate with technical resources to support complex client needs.
• Develop employee communications for renewals and benefit changes; supervise issue resolution.
• Participate in peer review of standard client deliverables to ensure quality.
• Develop and deliver training content for the Account Management team.
