Job summary

IOA Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager – Employee Benefits to oversee benefits client service, renewals, and new business setup. You will lead Account Coordinators, manage daily tasks, and collaborate with Producers to deliver value.

This role requires 5+ years of industry experience, active licenses, and strong communication. Remote work with potential on-site in some locations, plus competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Active licensing is required.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, delegation, and decision-making skills.
• High accuracy in handling large work volumes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring performance requirements are met.
• Deliver outstanding service, anticipate client needs, maintain professional communication.
• Lead the account team with a strong work ethic and willingness to assist others.
• Direct daily activities of Account Coordinators, assign tasks, communicate expectations.
• Identify and act on sales opportunities to grow IOA business.
• Manage new business setup, including data gathering and client education.
• Oversee renewal processes, update files, obtain rates, coordinate audits.
• Build and improve client relationships, seek feedback and implement improvements.
• Advocate for clients and carriers to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Identify and implement value-added solutions for clients.
• Support team training and development, promote a positive work environment.
• Maintain transparent communication with Producers and team members.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.
• Champion IOA core values and demonstrate integrity and leadership.
