Job summary

Lockton Companies is seeking a Senior Account Manager in San Diego to oversee a designated book of employee benefits clients. You will manage renewals, coordinate marketing, resolve issues, and provide strategic guidance to clients, ensuring premium service and accurate benefits administration.

You will analyze industry trends, mentor junior staff, and lead carrier negotiations while maintaining strong client relationships and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent years of experience.
• Typically, three or more years of client services experience.
• Strong knowledge of the brokerage/insurance industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead servicing of a designated book of business including renewals, marketing, issue resolution and client support.
• Analyze industry trends and provide guidance to clients.
• Resolve escalated claims, billing, and eligibility issues.
• Develop financial models and reports for clients and senior team members with interpretation and actionable recommendations.
• Participate in client strategy and renewal meetings to align results with commitments.
• Lead marketing of all product lines and present results with oversight.
• Lead communications and open enrollment activities to ensure a successful renewal process and implementation.
• Negotiate with carriers for quotes and prepare renewal presentations with oversight.
• Analyze quotes to determine coverage and recommendations.
• Identify gaps in coverage and cross-sell opportunities.
• Oversee implementation and open enrollment activities for renewals.
• Address escalated issues with timely responses and client satisfaction.
• Establish relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors.
• Stay informed on industry trends, carrier offerings, and regulations.
• Educate clients on compliance matters and regulatory changes.
• Mentor and train junior staff to foster collaboration.
