Job summary

AVEVA, a global industrial software leader, seeks a Distinguished Technology Strategist to shape AVEVA’s future by evaluating emerging technologies and guiding long-term product strategy. You will partner with executive teams to convert early insights into clear, investment-focused recommendations across research, architecture, and product.

The role requires 10+ years in technology leadership, strong communication, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in technology strategy, emerging technology research, or similar leadership roles.
Strong understanding of AI/ML, industrial IoT, cloud data platforms, edge architectures, and open-source ecosystems.
Ability to analyze complex topics and translate into actionable guidance.
Experience influencing senior stakeholders and aligning product, engineering, and R&D teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

Identify and assess emerging technologies and market signals shaping AVEVA’s long-term product strategy.
Translate technical exploration into business-relevant insights and investment priorities.
Partner with Fellows, product leaders, and R&D teams to align trends with the innovation roadmap.
Develop technology POVs, frameworks, and playbooks for teams to leverage new tech.
Communicate findings to enable informed decision-making across the organization.
