Job summary

AVEVA is seeking a Distinguished Technology Strategist to join the Emerging Technology function, shaping AVEVA’s future by identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing emerging technologies that influence product strategy and customer value. You’ll collaborate with Research, Product, Architecture, and Strategy teams to convert early insights into clear recommendations guiding long-term investments.

The role is senior and requires 10+ years in technology strategy, with strong communication skills

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technology strategy, emerging tech research, or similar leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML, Industrial IoT, cloud data platforms, edge architectures, OSS ecosystems.
• Ability to analyze complex topics into clear, actionable guidance.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders across product, engineering, and research teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess emerging technologies and market signals influencing AVEVA’s long-term strategy.
• Translate technical exploration into business-relevant insights and investment priorities.
• Partner with Fellows, product leaders, and R&D to align trends with the innovation roadmap.
• Develop technology POVs, frameworks, and playbooks for teams to leverage new tech.
• Communicate findings across the organization to enable informed decisions.
