Job summary

City and County of Denver seeks an Emergency Management Training and Exercise Design Supervisor to coordinate training programs for FAA Part 139 and emergency preparedness. You will oversee curriculum, records, and exercise programs to ensure compliance and readiness at Denver International Airport.

You will supervise staff, drive adult learning, collaborate with interagency partners, and maintain governance for training standards to improve operational resilience across the airport system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management, Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate emergency management training and FAA Part 139 and Emergency Preparedness training.
• Oversee curriculum and training records to ensure FAA Part 139 compliance.
• Manage the DEN emergency exercise programs and annual training schedule.
• Provide supervision of employees delivering training and exercises.
• Lead stakeholder coordination with City, regional, and state partners.
• Direct program leadership and governance of training curricula and standards.
• Represent DEN in interagency and cross-functional training and preparedness workgroups.
• Maintain documentation approvals and ensure operational consistency.
• Support Emergency Operations Center activations and incident response.
