Job summary

Dallas County Emergency Management seeks a skilled Training & Exercise Coordinator to develop and implement a multi-year plan for preparedness, response, and recovery. You will coordinate with internal and external partners to schedule training opportunities and update the county's hazard mitigation plan.

Responsibilities include hosting multi-agency courses, managing exercise programs using HSEEP, and ensuring continuous readiness through on-call support and incident response participation.

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in E.M./ Homeland Security/Criminal Justice or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in emergency management, homeland security or crime-related fields.
• Must communicate effectively in writing and speech; valid Texas Driver's License with good record.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a multi-year training and exercise plan for preparedness, response and recovery.
• Coordinates training with public and local partners and manages schedules and courses.
• Facilitates updates for the Dallas County hazard mitigation plan with internal and external partners.
• Conducts outreach and meetings, communicates risk assessments and mitigation projects.
• On-call 24/7 as Duty Officer in rotation and supports EOC during incidents.
