Job summary

International Medical Corps seeks a Senior Specialist, LEARN Emergency Response, based in Washington, DC, to oversee the infectious disease response portfolio under LEARN and manage donor engagement and reporting.

You will coordinate with country offices, regional platforms, technical advisors, grants management, and senior leadership to ensure timely information flow and compliance across outbreak response activities. The role supports surge operations and high-quality reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; master’s preferred.
• Minimum 7 years in humanitarian health programming and emergency response.
• Minimum 3 years managing infectious disease outbreak responses (e.g., Ebola, cholera).
• Experience coordinating multi-country humanitarian response programs.
• Proven donor liaison, reporting, and grants management experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate infectious disease response activities under the LEARN project.
• Liaise with field teams, donors, and leadership to ensure timely information flow.
• Produce donor reports, situation updates, and briefing materials.
• Support surge coordination and mitigation of operational risks.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with donor regulations.
