Job summary

International Medical Corps is seeking an Epidemiologist to strengthen surveillance, outbreak detection, and HCID readiness across priority countries. You will design training, adapt tools, and mentor teams for rapid, evidence-based responses within 24–72 hours of alert, collaborating closely with national actors and partners.

The role emphasizes data management, analyses, and translating findings into actionable guidance for program staff and donors, with potential international assignments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Epidemiology or related field is required or strongly preferred.
• Medical degree with epidemiology training is highly desirable.
• Formal field epidemiology training (FETP/FELTP) or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide surveillance and outbreak detection support across priority settings.
• Assist with outbreak investigations, including case finding and contact tracing.
• Develop and maintain epidemiological data systems and dashboards.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for partners and donors.
• Collaborate with national teams and consortium partners for readiness and response.
