Job summary

Emergency Physicians Monthly in Brooklyn, NY seeks an experienced Emergency Communications Engineer (SP2) to support critical 911 communications infrastructure. This on-site role covers E911/NG911, Text-to-911, routing, and network transport across LAN/WAN and VoIP environments.

The position requires 8+ years in network support or data center/field roles, with readiness to travel within the NYC region and provide after-hours support. Assignment duration is ~1 year, with a 35-hour work week.

Responsibilities

Maintain and support E911 and NG911 telephony, call delivery, routing, and telecommunications infrastructure.
Install, configure, test, and support emergency communications network equipment, including racking and cabling.
Assist with SMS, MMS, and RTT emergency services
Diagnose network incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and support remediation activities.
Provide technical support for ESInet and public safety communications
Validate test cases and document results in 911 lab environments
Track and manage emergency communications assets and infrastructure
Coordinate with 911 service providers and Local Exchange Carriers
Prepare and maintain network diagrams and technical reports
