Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a Cloud and Storage Engineer to develop a full-scale SAN architecture for a large EMC-based infrastructure supporting a federal agency. The role emphasizes storage optimization, disaster recovery, and secure cloud integration.

The successful candidate will define strategic SAN directions, design enterprise storage solutions, and ensure 24/7/365 uptime while collaborating with internal and external teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
• 8+ years of directly related SAN/storage experience may substitute for degree.
• Significant experience with Dell EMC OneFS, Unity, Isilon, Data Domain, and RecoverPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements full-scale SAN architecture for EMC-based storage infra.
• Defines strategic direction for SAN and backup environments.
• Designs enterprise storage solutions to be installed and deployed.
• Provides storage capacity planning and utilization reporting.
• Creates standards for storage configuration, optimization, and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoots complex SAN issues with internal/external customers.
• Maintains 24/7/365 uptime and ongoing SAN modernization.
• Architects and maintains private cloud; Gov Cloud/hybrid cloud experience preferred.
