RTX seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead EMC projects within Electric Power Systems, guiding schedules, budgets, and documentation with stakeholders and technical leads. The role emphasizes risk management, change management, and strong problem-solving and communication skills in a collaborative environment.

Location: Rockford, IL. You will drive Integrated Master Schedules in MS Project, monitor EVMS-based budgets, and ensure high-quality deliverables while advancing safer and more efficient

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, or 5+ years with a STEM degree.
• Prior experience in project engineering or program management.
• Experience developing and managing Integrated Master Schedules in Microsoft Project.
• Experience supporting Earned Value Management Systems to manage budgets.
• Experience with Change Management and Risk Management tools and practices.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC or related environmental test standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461).
• Ability to work with technical leads, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support program success.
• Manage program budgets, schedules, and detailed plans for smooth execution.
• Coordinate EMC development, qualification, and documentation activities.
• Lead EMC status meetings and work with technical leads to mitigate risks and recovery plans.
