Job summary
Eaton's Critical Power Solutions Division in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Embedded Systems Verification Sr. Engineer. The role can be hybrid, with relocation available and up to ~10% travel.
You will develop and execute test plans, create automation scripts, and verify firmware across HiL/MiL/SiL environments, ensuring compliance with UL/IEC, contributing to safe UPS and power electronics products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering with 2+ years embedded firmware experience.
- Master's degree with 1+ year embedded firmware experience.
- Experience testing power electronics, UPS systems, or similar.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for embedded firmware functionality.
- Create and maintain test plans, procedures, and documentation.
- Develop test automation scripts using Python/Java/C# to improve coverage.
- Execute tests across HiL, MiL, and SiL environments.
- Perform regression, integration, and system testing throughout firmware lifecycle.
- Verify compliance with UL, IEC, CE, EMI/EMC and safety requirements.
- Contribute to CI/CD test automation and provide test status to stakeholders.
