Job summary

Eaton in Youngsville, NC is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop and test firmware for next-generation medium-voltage power conversion products. You will collaborate with global teams to translate system requirements into software architecture and detailed firmware specifications.

Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining embedded software in RTOS environments, developing DSP/microcontroller-based control code, and participating in reviews throughout the

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters in a relevant engineering field with embedded software experience.
Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and RTOS concepts.
Experience with microcontrollers, DSPs, and hardware/software interaction.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and release embedded software/firmware for power conversion products.
Collaborate with systems, hardware, and controls teams to translate requirements into software design.
Design RTOS-based software and state machines for DSP/microcontroller platforms.
Conduct code reviews, debugging, and verification across the product lifecycle.
Support HIL and real-time simulation environments to validate software functionality.
