Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Embedded Testing Lead Engineer for its Critical Power Solutions Division in a hybrid role based in Raleigh, NC or Richmond, VA. Relocation is available between Raleigh and Richmond, with occasional travel (~10%).

The role focuses on leading design verification, test automation, and laboratory testing for RPP, DCPD, and PDU products. The ideal candidate will define test strategies, develop verification plans, and supervise automated and manual testing of embedded firmware,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience, or Master’s with 2+ years of experience.
Experience in embedded systems, firmware testing, and system-level verification.

Responsibilities

Define and own test strategies for RPP, STS, and PDU products.
Lead test plans, verification matrices, and validation reports.
Lead manual and automated testing for embedded firmware, controls, and system-level functionality.
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, Robot Framework, and C#.
Work with IDEs/tools: Visual Studio, LabVIEW, NI MAX.
Support HiL, MiL, SiL validation activities and test equipment.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD for rapid feedback.
Review results, perform root-cause analysis, and drive defect resolution.
