Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help design and implement build procedures that support hardware and software product development. The role focuses on designing, developing, documenting, testing, and integrating control and diagnostic systems with robust mathematical solutions, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

You will ensure DO-178C compliance, work with embedded C/C++ software, and contribute to navigation systems development for avionics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in software engineering, or Master’s with 3+ years in the field.
• At least 3 years of experience with Avionics Systems.
• At least 3 years of DO-178C experience.
• At least 3 years of Embedded Software development in C/C++.
• At least 3 years of experience with Navigation Systems.
• Non-US Person must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement build procedures that support hardware and software product development.
• Design, develop, document, test and design control and diagnostic systems with logical and mathematical solutions.
• Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers for electronic data processing systems.
• Determine end-user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program input and output.
• Innovate, design, develop and implement technologies to ensure compliance with specifications and customer guarantees.
• Ensure hardware and software standards are met and IP is protected.
