Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer in West Los Angeles, CA. You will lead the architecture and development of high-performance embedded firmware for MANET radios, focusing on ARM-based platforms and Linux networking stacks.

The role covers device drivers, BSPs, MAC and routing protocol software, with a hybrid on-site schedule (minimum three days/week on-site). U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Hands-on with embedded Linux on ARM for networking/wireless applications.
• Expertise in C programming and Linux kernel driver development.
• U.S. Citizenship due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of low-latency embedded firmware for ARM-based SoCs.
• Develop device drivers and BSPs for ARM and RISC‑V systems.
• Implement MAC and MANET routing software components.
• Collaborate on security features and encryption implementations.
• Travel: none.
