Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in West Los Angeles, CA, on a hybrid schedule with at least 3 onsite days weekly (Mon, Wed, Thu). Work spans MAC, MANET routing, security, and driver development for Linux-based platforms.

Requirements include a BS in EE/CS, 5+ years in embedded software, and strong C/Linux kernel experience. US citizenship is required for government contracts; relocation is domestic.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of embedded system software development experience.
• Expertise in C programming and Linux kernel driver development.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Implement software for MAC and MANET routing protocols.
• Develop network management software and web interface.
• Implement security protocols and encryption algorithms.
• Develop audio streaming and push-to-talk applications.
• Improve product security to meet FIPS 140-3 and NIAP criteria.
• Create testing software for performance and reliability tests.
• Develop and maintain device drivers and BSP for ARM and RISC-V.
• Customize Linux systems and scripting.
