Silvus Technologies in Irvine, CA, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to help develop our MANET radios and research projects. You will work on device drivers, networking, encryption, and security features on ARM-based SoCs and Linux.

The role is 100% onsite, reports to the Senior Engineering Director, and requires 8+ years of embedded software experience, C programming, and Linux kernel driver work. U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of embedded system software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with embedded Linux on ARM for networking or wireless applications.
• Strong C programming and Linux kernel driver development.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and development of low-latency embedded firmware on ARM-based SoCs.
• Implement MAC and ad-hoc networking routing protocols and network management software.
• Develop security protocols and encryption algorithms, and test product robustness.
