PassiveLogic seeks an Embedded Systems Engineer to co‑lead development of building controller hardware from zero to manufacture. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, industrial design, and V&V teams to deliver robust, energy‑efficient firmware and software for embedded platforms.

The role requires a systems mindset, strong embedded C/C++, Python, and Linux/RTOS experience, plus solid debugging and Git skills. Salt Lake City HQ offers onsite collaboration and rapid innovation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, or proven exceptional ability through experience.
• 6+ years of embedded systems and embedded software development.
• Strong C/C++, Python and embedded Linux/RTOS experience.
• Proficient in Git for version control and high‑quality codebases.
• Excellent communication skills to lead, mentor, and align teams.
• Self‑driven, curious mindset; experience with AI-assisted testing is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded systems end to end, from architecture to high‑volume production.
• Design and implement HIL/SIL tests to validate robust code prior to V&V handoff.
• Collaborate with platform architects, product management, and design teams on feature development.
• Ensure hardware‑firmware platform robustness with structured bug management and hands‑on debugging.
• Prepare and maintain engineering and code documentation; communicate progress clearly.
