Palladyne AI in Salt Lake City is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop, optimize, and integrate C++ software for embedded Linux systems powering autonomous platforms.

You'll tackle multithreading, IPC, and system‑level optimization on real hardware, collaborating across software and hardware teams to deliver robust autonomous capabilities on physical systems, with relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in computer science or engineering.
• 5+ years of embedded or systems software experience.
• Proficient in modern C++, multithreading, memory management, and object‑oriented programming.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded Linux software using modern C++ for Palladyne AI's Pilot and SwarmOS products.
• Develop multi‑threaded software meeting performance, security, and timing requirements on embedded robotic platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across embedded Linux environments, OS, communications, and hardware interfaces.
• Implement IPC, networking, and embedded systems communication to ensure reliable intercomponent interaction.
• Debug and validate software on physical hardware working with hardware teams to identify root causes.
