Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team supporting testing of embedded systems for missile defense programs. The role focuses on software testing, automation, Python scripting, debugging, and test framework development across hardware interfaces and CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with software, systems, and hardware engineers, perform full test lifecycle activities, and generate and maintain test documentation such as STP/STD/STRs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in software testing, integration, and verification of embedded systems or 6+ years with MS degree.
• Active secret security clearance.
• Experience testing embedded systems and integrated hardware/software platforms.
• Experience with software automation testing and automated test environments.
• Strong Python scripting and debugging skills.
• Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex test data.
• Experience mapping requirements to test scenarios, procedures, and verification activities.
• Experience developing and maintaining RTMs.
• Experience validating interfaces between software, firmware, and hardware components.
