Job summary

Leidos seeks an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team working on missile-defense systems. You will support testing and validation of embedded systems, develop Python-based test automation, and drive the full test lifecycle from planning through reporting.

Key tasks include debugging, automation framework development, and collaboration with software, systems, and hardware engineers, with emphasis on test data analysis and CI/CD integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• 12+ years in software testing with embedded systems or 10+ with MS.
• Active secret clearance.
• Experience with automated test environments.
• Strong Python scripting and debugging.
• Automation framework development.
• Ability to analyze complex test data.
• RTMs experience.
• Interface validation between software, firmware and hardware.
• Regression and performance testing experience.
• Wireshark experience.
• Jira for defect tracking and SAFe workflows.
• CI/CD integration experience.
• Documentation like STPs, STDs, STRs.
• Unit/integration/regression/performance testing.
• Troubleshooting across embedded software and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Support testing and validation for embedded systems.
