Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior engineering leader to own the avionics software products across multiple programs. You will drive technical plans, lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration to meet program objectives and customer requirements.

You will also oversee a team through staffing, development, and performance management while aligning with HR policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leading and managing teams to deliver complex safety critical embedded software products.
• 8+ years of experience in a relevant engineering field, with significant experience in avionics and/or embedded software product development and maintenance.
• 3+ years of project management and/or management experience.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Product Delivery: Manage your project scope by ensuring scrappy and cost-effective execution while maintaining a tight grip on the project deliverables needed to meet program objectives.
• Technical Leadership: Develop and oversee the technical plan, ensuring it aligns to both negotiated customer requirements and internal design criteria.
• Functional Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of your employees including talent acquisition, employee development, and when needed, performance management.
