Blue Origin is seeking a senior leader to guide a team of embedded software engineers building mission-critical systems for national security programs in Seattle. The role emphasizes balancing hands-on coding with strategic leadership and process development to ensure robust, secure software delivery.

You will collaborate across cross-functional teams, drive software lifecycle practices compliant with security requirements, and mentor engineers to grow technical excellence and leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 8+ years embedded software development with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in embedded C/C++.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of embedded software engineers developing mission-critical applications for Blue Origin's National Security programs.
• Contribute to design and implementation with ~50% hands-on development.
• Establish technical direction and software development processes for embedded systems.
• Write, review, and debug code with the team.
