Job summary

Fidus is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Designer to lead the delivery of complex embedded software systems for clients. You will drive BSP-level software for embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal platforms, develop device drivers, and integrate with FPGA SoCs while mentoring a team and collaborating with customers.

The role requires deep embedded expertise, high-quality coding practices, and the ability to guide projects across HW/SW/FPGA teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 8+ years BSP-level software development in embedded Linux/RTOS/bare-metal.
• 2+ years as a technical lead with leadership in project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to embedded software projects (communication, networking, video).
• Develop and maintain BSP-level software for embedded Linux/RTOS/bare-metal.
• Implement device drivers and manage kernel configurations (Yocto/PetaLinux).
• Design/debug software for FPGA SoCs and integrate with hardware.
• Collaborate on HW/SW/FPGA integration and debugging.
• Mentor and guide multiple designers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Work with customers to understand requirements and exceed expectations.
