Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Lead Embedded Software Engineer for the Defense Solutions Group in a remote-capable role in the US. You will lead design, development, and testing of embedded software for defense-grade products, guiding architecture decisions and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

The ideal candidate has extensive C/C++ expertise, strong RTOS knowledge, and hands-on experience with Linux device drivers, bootloaders, and cross-functional collaboration.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of progressive software development experience with subsystems ownership.
• 5+ years in software project lead roles.
• Strong background in real-time embedded software and architecture decisions.
• Experience with Linux and RTOS device drivers, scripting, and Python.

Responsabilidades

• Translate product plans into software specifications and requirements.
• Collaborate with systems and hardware teams to craft sustainable solutions.
• Design, develop, test embedded computing software for embedded systems.
• Implement bootloaders, device drivers, and test software.
• Diagnose advanced defects and propose software changes.
• Support documentation and user manuals.
