Job summary

RTX is seeking a seasoned software engineer to design and integrate test software for military hardware test stations. You will work hands-on with test equipment, develop automated tests, and ensure testability from requirements.

Strong collaboration with Systems, Electrical, and Mechanical teams is essential. Ideal candidates have a Secret clearance, a STEM degree with extensive experience (or an advanced degree with related experience), and proficiency in C#, Python, C/C++, Java, and Linux.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government clearance is required.
• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience programming in C# and Python.
• Experience with manual or automated test equipment and test benches.
• Experience in validation, verification, testing, and requirements analysis.
• Experience leading and managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and integrate software components for hardware test stations in labs and manufacturing.
• Analyze requirements to ensure testability and develop clear test objectives.
• Develop software for manual and automated test cases to detect defects and increase yields.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with Systems, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering teams.
• Coordinate across multiple programs and mentor junior engineers.
