Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and operate embedded security capabilities across satellite lifecycles. You will implement payload radio and mode management in C/C++ within an embedded Linux system, partnering with hardware teams for board bring-up and verification.

You will follow high‑reliability software practices to ensure robust security and reliability. The role touches power, telemetry, and autonomous control within a highly ambitious space program.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design, development, and operation of embedded security capabilities for each satellite.
• Develop software to payload Radio and Payload Mode Management in C/C++ or similar on embedded Linux.
• Collaborate with hardware teams for board bring-up, verification, and test.
• Follow best practices in high reliability embedded software development for security and reliability.
• Work on the Satellite Communication Systems Payload.
