Job summary

Redwire Space Missions LLC seeks a Contractor - Sr. Software Engineer to design, develop, and verify software for high‑reliability embedded systems. Primarily remote, with occasional onsite reviews and meetings at Littleton CO, Albuquerque NM, or Jacksonville FL.

Candidates should have 5+ years in embedded C/C++ on Linux/RTOS, experience with NASA CFS/OpenC3 Cosmos, and spacecraft interfaces. U.S. citizenship or clearance eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in high-reliability embedded software development.
• Experience with NASA CFS/OpenC3/Cosmos.
• Familiarity with spacecraft avionics interfaces and protocols (MIL-STD-1553, CAN, SpaceWire, RS-422, Ethernet).
• Experience with version control and issue tracking (Git, SVN; JIRA/Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and verify software for embedded systems meeting specifications and performance requirements.
• Draft and release software documentation such as requirements and design specifications.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to deliver complete embedded solutions.
• Define system-level hardware/software interfaces and write external sub-system interface specs.
• Develop test procedures and test suites for unit, system, and regression testing; support integrated system testing.
