Job summary

Redwire Space Missions LLC in Littleton, CO seeks a Software Engineer (all levels) to design, develop, integrate, and test software for spacecraft avionics and mission systems. You’ll own software modules through their lifecycle, collaborating with systems, electrical and test engineers to deliver reliable flight and ground software for mission success.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience designing and developing software for high reliability embedded systems.
Experience with NASA Core Flight System Framework and OpenC3/Cosmos.
Familiarity with spacecraft avionics interfaces and protocols (e.g., MIL-STD-1553, CAN, SpaceWire, RS-422, Ethernet).
Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and issue-tracking tools (JIRA, Confluence).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and verify software to meet system specifications including performance requirements.
Draft and release software documentation such as requirements and design specs.
Develop and deliver embedded system software in collaboration with hardware and software teams.
Define system-level hardware and software interfaces and write interface specs for sub-systems.
Develop software test procedures and test suites for unit, system, and regression testing.
