Job summary

Redwire Space Missions LLC is seeking a Contractor - Sr. Software Engineer to design, develop, and verify software for spacecraft avionics and mission systems.

The role is primarily remote, with on-site participation for reviews, integration and customer meetings. You will own software modules throughout their lifecycle, collaborating with systems, electrical, and test engineers to deliver robust flight and ground software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of embedded software experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, verify software for spacecraft avionics and mission systems.
• Lead software module ownership through requirements, architecture, coding, verification and delivery.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, and test engineering teams for reliable flight and ground software.
• Define interfaces between hardware and software and write interface specifications.
• Develop test procedures and suites for unit, system, and regression testing.
• Support integrated systems testing and participate in project/ subsystem meetings.
