Job summary

SET Development is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join the Satellite Systems team. The role focuses on integrating and testing software for space assets, ensuring telemetry and command functions operate reliably.

Ideal candidates hold a strong background in embedded Linux, C/C++, and DevSecOps within agile workflows. Secret Level Security Clearance or higher is preferred, with remote work and periodic travel.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/EE/SE or related field with 10+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Experience in defense space systems is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of embedded software principles and practices.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test software for satellite systems with customers and vendors.
• Ensure operation and maintenance of mission-critical software for satellite command, control, and telemetry.
• Work in an agile team guiding features from requirements through design, implementation, and testing.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and technical staff; oversee full software lifecycle.
• Adhere to DevSecOps practices and align software with project goals.
