Wabtec is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to design, develop, integrate, test and maintain embedded applications used in locomotives across LOCOTROL product lines. You will work closely with PMs, system engineers, architects, and test teams to ensure requirements are met.

The role focuses on C/C++ development for embedded targets, including RTOS and bare-metal environments, with travel up to 10% and collaboration across agile teams to deliver high-reliability control systems.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years embedded software experience in RTOS and bare metal.
• Experience with C/C++ and multi-threaded design.
• Strong understanding of software design, methods, and architecture.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Willing and able to travel 10% of your time.
• Experience with DDS, Yocto, C++23, CMake, GTest, DOORS Next, and GitLab.
