Zusammenfassung

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Level IV, to architect and deliver high-reliability software for lunar avionics and embedded edge computing. You will lead architecture across multiple embedded systems, while remaining hands-on in implementation, integration and debugging for Blue Moon landers.

You will work with avionics, systems, software and test engineers to translate mission requirements into verified, safe software. Strong RT and AI-assisted tool experience is valued.

Qualifikationen

• BS in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of embedded software/firmware experience.
• C, C++ or Rust with hardware integration and release.
• Real-time systems, multitasking and synchronization in embedded environments.
• Proficiency with sensor/peripheral drivers, I/O/BIT middleware and low-level interfaces.
• Experience designing reliable software architectures and autonomous fault-recovery code.
• Automated verification expertise; CI practices familiarity.
• Strong memory management understanding and performance judgement.
• Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and register maps; debug hardware/software.

Aufgaben

• Own architecture and delivery across embedded systems and projects; define interfaces and tradeoffs.
• Derive and decompose software requirements; maintain traceability across teams.
• Develop and review BSPs, software loaders, drivers and HALs for I/O and BIT.
• Coordinate software integration across interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI, CAMERALINK).
• Apply RT scheduling, multitasking and synchronization to real-time constraints.
• Lead hardware integration and debugging with schematics and lab instruments.
• Guide software integration with FPGA-based hardware and register interfaces.
• Prototype edge AI applications for sensor processing and health monitoring.
• Design autonomous fault-recovery software and verify under fault conditions.
• Guide verification planning and maintain traceability/evidence for releases.
• Mitigate software risks; lead root-cause investigations and action closures.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools for implementation and test generation; review changes.
