Job summary

Blue Origin in Colorado is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer for mission-critical spaceflight systems within the Core Avionics group. You will design, implement and verify embedded software for avionics hardware, collaborating with aerospace engineers and hardware teams to ensure robust, low-latency performance on boards and SoCs.

Qualifications

• BS in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in embedded software or related fields.
• C/C++/Rust with Linux scripting experience and debugging across HW/SW boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Develop BSP software for new hardware and drivers.
• Bare-metal or OS-level programming for initialization, control, data processing, and networking/communication.
• Debug avionics hardware with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG debuggers.
• Collaborate in design reviews and balance HW/SW partitioning.
• Benchmark and characterize hardware performance; bring up HW accelerators in SoCs.
