Odin Dynamics, Inc. in New York’s Long Beach area is seeking multiple Senior Embedded Software Engineers to act as Responsible Engineers for critical embedded subsystems across our platform.

You will own a subsystem from requirements through deployment and collaborate across hardware, firmware, embedded Linux, controls, testing, and software engineering. This hands-on, production‑oriented role requires writing substantial production code, making technical decisions, mentoring others, and owning

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded Linux or microcontroller development.
• Strong low-level systems programming skills.
• Experience with real-time, deterministic systems.
• Ability to read schematics and debug hardware/software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Responsible Engineer for a major embedded subsystem.
• Develop greenfield embedded software from requirements to production-ready implementation.
• Write, review, test, and debug production software in a low-level language.
• Design deterministic software for latency-critical systems.
• Bring up new embedded hardware with Avionics and Power Electronics engineers.
• Read schematics, review hardware designs, and diagnose integration issues.
• Debug interrupts, DMA, concurrency, and memory issues.
• Use lab tools to identify root causes and verify fixes.
• Develop interfaces using common embedded protocols and bus architectures.
• Write unit/integration/system tests (HIL/SIL/HOOTL).
• Collaborate with Test Engineering for lab, field, and sea-trial validation.
• Support production testing and corrective improvements throughout life-cycle.
• Build automated workflows with modern CI, static analysis, and testing.
• Produce concise documentation and leverage AI-assisted tools while validating outputs.
