Job summary

Odin Labs, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to anchor an autonomous engineering team. Each team includes 2–3 engineers and handles design through QA and release, with you as the technical owner of the project.

You will not be a people manager, but you will mentor the 1–2 engineers on your team and set the technical bar. You will partner with product to scope work, drive architecture decisions, and ensure timely delivery across the stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep full-stack experience in a modern TypeScript ecosystem including backend, frontend, and mobile.
• Experience leading engineers to delivery and ownership of production systems.
• Ability to slice work into vertical user-facing stories and guide architecture.
• Strong product instincts and ability to discuss scope and trade-offs.
• Operational maturity with production systems, incidents, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Own the output quality of the team and decide when code is ready for production.
• Lead technical design and architectural decisions within the team.
• Write production code across the stack (Postgres schema, API, UI, and mobile).
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical writeups.
• Collaborate with product to scope work, surface risks, and ensure timely delivery.
• Drive improvements in observability, release strategies, and system reliability.
