Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Software Engineer to drive embedded and safety-critical software across maritime autonomous platforms. You will own end-to-end delivery of subsystems, including device management, drivers, firmware, and networking.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to system design, and help evolve products with a focus on re-usable components and robust testing. Expect up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, CS, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience writing C and real time operating systems (RTOS).
• Knowledge of bus protocols (CAN, CANFD, UART, Ethernet, etc.).
• Ability to own software components end-to-end with stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement trusted, safety critical Vehicle Management Systems for autonomous platforms.
• Develop scalable subsystems including sensor processing, state estimation, actuation, and mission interfaces.
• Create reusable software components across multiple product lines.
• Develop real-time embedded software using an RTOS.
• Create device drivers and sensor interfaces.
• Build test and simulation fixtures with software- and hardware-in-the-loop.
• Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across disciplines.
• Travel to co-locate with end-users and teams up to 20% of the time.
