Job summary

Quantinuum in Broomfield, CO seeks a Senior Advanced Embedded Software Engineer to lead embedded software for our Apollo quantum computer. You will design, implement, test, and integrate firmware for FPGA-based control hardware in a fast-paced lab environment.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and 6+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++, Python, Linux for SoC FPGA, and experience with device drivers (SPI/I2C) and Xilinx MPSoC/Vitis.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• 6+ years of industry experience in embedded software development.
• 4+ years in an R&D or rapid prototyping environment.
• U.S. Person required due to contractual requirements.
• Security restrictions apply; must meet eligibility per U.S. government requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, test, and debug embedded software for FPGA-based quantum computer control hardware.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop concepts and technologies for quantum computers.
• Work closely with FPGA developers to implement concepts and validate on internal testbeds.
• Evaluate new software and hardware technologies to improve quantum computer control.
• Deliver products and achieve program goals in an R&D/rapid prototyping environment.
