Job summary

Quantinuum is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer in Broomfield, CO to join a cross-functional team that advances quantum computers. You will develop and support robust software systems that interact with lab equipment powering our commercial quantum systems.

You will collaborate with physicists and hardware engineers, build internal tools and dashboards, improve observability, and participate in CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 4+ years of graduate and/or industry experience in software for lab or research settings.
• 2+ years in Python, C++, or similar OO language.
• 1+ year of experience communicating with hardware via interfaces/protocols.
• U.S. person per contract requirements; certain national restrictions apply.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software that automates lab processes and interfaces with instruments and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with physicists and hardware engineers to tailor tools to lab workflows.
• Develop internal tools and dashboards to visualize equipment status and system health.
• Enhance observability and enable rapid debugging and minimal downtime.
• Write clean, testable code in a fast-paced R&D environment.
• Deploy and support lab software throughout its lifecycle.
