Infleqtion is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop high-performance software that blends classical computing with next‑gen quantum hardware in a dynamic product group.

The role spans across CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, and fast interconnects, requiring systems thinking, strong programming skills, and a willingness to learn quantum concepts. 100% on‑site work in the U.S. may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Strong programming experience in C++, C, Rust, or Python.
• Experience developing software for performance-critical, distributed, embedded, scientific, or HPC systems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals including testing, debugging, and version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software for quantum-classical systems.
• Coordinate computation across classical and quantum resources.
• Develop systems with tight latency, throughput, and reliability requirements.
• Integrate software with CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, accelerators and high-speed interconnects.
• Analyze performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve scalability and reliability.
• Develop tools, benchmarks, test infrastructure, and observability capabilities.
• Troubleshoot across applications, OS, drivers, runtimes, networking, and hardware.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and partners; contribute to reviews and docs.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
• Prototype new technologies as the field evolves.
