Siemens Healthineers AG is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support embedded software for motion control and safety-critical subsystems in SPECT Molecular Imaging cameras. You will collaborate with electronics, mechanical, software, and systems teams to deliver high-performance, reliable software that meets safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of embedded software experience.
• Experience with C/C++/C#.
• Experience with hardware/software integration and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain embedded software for motion control and safety-related subsystems within SPECT Molecular Imaging systems.
• Drive end-to-end embedded software development activities: requirements, architecture, design, implementation, testing, integration, and support.
• Develop and maintain software and system documentation (requirements, architecture, design specs).
• Develop, debug, and optimize embedded software using C/C++/C#.
• Design and support low-level hardware/software interfaces and communication protocols.
• Implement motion control functionality, motor tuning, safety mechanisms, and fail-safe error handling.
• Ensure designs meet safety requirements and engineering standards.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and verification for software functionality and reliability.
• Support system-level integration, troubleshooting, and validation in electromechanical systems.
• Utilize hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, CAN analyzers).
• Investigate and resolve software/hardware integration issues across development, testing, and field operations.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, systems, and software teams; participate in Agile sprints.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance software quality and development efficiency.
