Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• 3+ years of professional embedded software experience.
• Experience with C, C++, or C# in embedded contexts.
• Hands-on debugging of embedded systems and hardware/software integration.
• Experience with low-level interfaces, device drivers, or communication protocols.
• Ability to translate requirements into reliable software designs and implementations.
• Strong software quality mindset and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for motion control and safety-related subsystems in SPECT Molecular Imaging systems.
• Drive end-to-end embedded software activities: requirements, architecture, design, implementation, testing, integration, and support.
• Develop and maintain software requirements, architecture docs, design specs, and technical docs.
• Program in C, C++, or C# for embedded environments, and optimize performance.
• Implement and support hardware/software interfaces and drivers; work with CAN, UART, I2C where needed.
• Develop motion control features, motor tuning, safety mechanisms, and fail-safe error handling.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, processes, and engineering standards.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and verification to ensure reliability and quality.
• Support system-level integration, troubleshooting, and validation in electromechanical systems.
• Use hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and CAN sniffers.
